Doctor Who Cosplayer Kitties

Kitty Cosplayers: Doctor Who, progress pics!

I am getting there: only tardis kitty needs to be started! 

Then finishing touches and stuffing them to sale!!!

Meanwhile I have started the Doctor Who's the bow ties are done, now the fez's are as well, just need to get blue eye buttons then rest of the 11th's & start of 10th's and the one bad wolf!

the first is the bad fez, each one is handmade so it wont be perfect, and I rather not add "professional mini fez maker" to a skill.

I am excited I am getting custom order's in person when I share that I am doing toy kitty designs for sale! These were asked to be jewelry free for the little girls who are to receive them still are young! Custom order's can be done via payapl by messaging me here, or on my FB page and etsy. I wont do a custom posts yet since I am fabric here and there for the projects I am currently working on. Once it is more organized I can add the posts there!

KItty Cosplay

The idea started in my sewing class how I could expand my kitty designs. My classmate said put a fez on one! So then I asked on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Tumblr

"So i have kitty toys/decor for sale. But i am thinking of expanding into kitty-fans with Doctor Who, Sherlock, Hannibal and some SailorMoon themes. Any interest?"

Soon I had likes and comments! So I sat down and drew up some concepts to sew! Then the next day I went and bought some fabric to get started! I am very excited to announce that I will be making my Kitty-Fan cosplaying some of my top fav fandoms!

Purple Kitty

I had made a custom Purple Cat for a customer to contrast with the silver one she had purchased. Kitty was well received and another person wanted me to make her 2 as well!

So I looked at my leftover fabric and was able to make 9 more kitties . 

The 2 largest are custom orders. 7 md/sm are up for sale SOON!!

I am very excited about this!

I can now offer shipping to the United Kingdom!

I am very thankful for my customer who contacted me about shipping to the UK! Took my kitty off etsy to sell via paypal to be able to be able to figure out how much shipping would cost via regular mail. Since UPS or FEDEX is killer cost for a small toy being a teeny business. 

But I am very happy to have had this opportunity to expand my sales out!

Future Jewelry sales to add

Originally I made Jewel Leen to sale jewelry designs, but it came to a halt when no one was buying. Plus it is a tough market with lot's of jewelry makers. But I will be making a few here and there that are more of what I wear and not so much what's out in the market. These are just some of what I wanted to do and make at least 3 of each. Protoypes for future designs to sell:

Pillows are a faster design to make, but not sure if I should sell it with the pillow or just the cover itself? But I have found the best way for me to make it and also my prefered way of buying pillow cases.

Now this cupcake doesn't look like a cupcake at all... 

but I promise you it's a cupcake... needs work.

Now my square mug is cute, but I did not measure right to make the swirls not get cut off! 

A cute toddler toy if I put a squeaker in it!

This guy needs more... but my daughter enjoyed hugging it, so no sure.. 

I made this for my daughter for Valentines day... she played with it for a day.

My first toy I sewed this year was this lil glam robotica, she was very time consuming and probably won't make another again, so one of a kind. She is embellished with a boy and a reg glass gem necklace.

Creating the Leen kitties

I have always wanted a kitty pillow or decor of my own.

So I randomly this year I decided to take sewing lessons. 

I learned skills that could be applied to make my kitty designs. 

All my kitties are free-hand patterns & all vary quite a bit since I never draw the exact same.

Soon after, I was happy with my first ones and began to make a total of 20 kitties!

after each one I was sewing faster and creating all different shapes & sizes of kitties!

I am happy I have taking this up this craft and added to my list of art skills!
